The Gentleman
Thief Progs 1067-1070 Dante has been living it up in style at the Black Sea holiday resort of Yalta. In order to pay the staggering hotel bill, Dante engages in a bit of Masked Thievery. He is unfortunately caught, but makes his flight from justice on a stolen Imperial Steed.. After a hectic chase he manages to get into the Hotel Command Centre and uses the Weapons Crest to reassign his bill to Captain Arbatov and his regiment. The Captain had been persuing a personal vendetta against Dante. Dante is aided in his deception by a mysterious female thief who is posing as 'The Lady Di Winter'. She extracts a heavy price however as Dante discovers when he returns to his room to find all his ill gotten gains gone. Russias Greatest Love Machine Prog1066 Drawn by Spaceboy ( Chris Weston) Dante has a liason with a bearded female member of the Rasputin religious sect Moscow Duelists Progs 1072-1075 Dante is invited, along with the Romanovs, to the unveiling of the Tsars remodelled Moscow. While at the party on the Tsars floating Palace, Dante unwittingly ends up being challenged to 4 seperate duels. The duels are arranged consecutively and are to take place at the New Moscow Imperial Circus. Dante dispatches his first challenger by trickery, a follower of the Rasputin religious sect. |
| The second, a cybernetic amalgam of 3 shrunken chinese diplomats, is destroyed by an Elephant falling from its acrobatic platform above. Dante manages to use the marauding Elephants to take out his next challenger, a talking Gorilla. Dantes final opponent is the Imperial Fencing Master Caius Zacharovitch, fighting on behalf of the Tsar. Unfortunately Dantes swordsmanship is not up to the challenge and he is quickly beaten. Zacharovich though, is an honourable duelist and spares Dantes life. The Tsar orders Zarcharovich to kill Dante, but the Fencing Master refuses and is summarily executed on the Tsars' orders. | |
| The Gulag
Apokaliptic Progs 1079-1082 (Drawn by Henry Flint ) Dante is ordered by his father Dmitri to accompany a mysterious 'Ally' of the family to the Romanov Prison World of Samovar. The woman known as Khara turns out to be the envoy of an other dimensional race, the race that provided the Romanov family with their Weapons Crests in return for 'Human Genetic Material' in the form of prisoners. As they land on Samovar, Dante and Khara narrowly escape death when their ship is destroyed. Their attacker is a 'White Army Riever' who has come to bring Khara back to her home dimension and put an end to the trade. Kharas' race have split into 2 warring factions, one (the White Army) are dedicated to self improvement through technology, the other side (the Red Guard) are intent apon retaining their humanity. After a tough battle, Dante and Khara manage to kill the Riever, they then arrive at a strategic alliance of a more personal nature. Khara returns to her people, but leaves Dante with a memento; the Huntsman 5000 rifle, an intelligent weapon that adapts its ammunition into whatever is required to destroy its designated target. The Huntsman is linked to Dantes individual genetic code and so would provide a nasty surprise to anyone else who tried to use it, as we find out in the next episode... |

| The Trouble
With Arbatovs Prog 1083 ( Original Title: Arbatovs ,Arbatovs, everywhere bloody Arbatovs ) Captain Arbatov is to be executed by his family in punishment for the various crimes that Dante managed to frame him for during the 'Gentleman Thief' story. So Dante, feeling a bit guilty about this, dons his Gentleman Thief black outfit once again and stages a daring rescue of the Captain from the firing squad. However Captain Arbatov is somewhat less than grateful and attempts to kill Dante with the Huntsman rifle, killing himself in the process. |

| The Full Dante
Prog1071 (Drawn by Charlie Adlard ) Dante and his half brother Andreas get drunk together. While inebriated Dante picks a fight with a group of male stippers. The all female audience, extremely dipleased that their entertainment has been so rudely interrupted, demand that Dante do a striptease of his own. Dantes act falls flat on its face. | Cruel
Britannia Prog 1084 Dante is called in to help out the British King ( a Romanov ally ), who has apparently gone quite mad. Through Dantes skill at media manipulation King Henrys' actions are made more acceptable to a scandal happy gutter press. Dante must also face the threat from Princess Marie-Anne, who has ambitions of her own and wants to remove Dante from her path to power. Our hero eventually triumphs through some nifty swordplay and an even niftier dirty trick. The ambitious Princess is imprisoned and the mischeivous monarchs' throne is saved. |
